Young Aput must set out on his own to hunt for food, a challenge all boys must face in order to become a man. But Aput is different, he'd rather help his mom with sewing and cooking rather than go on fishing trips with his dad and grandpa. Yet he goes on this (forced) journey, but manages to get caught up in a freak blizzard because he had left with a cold, which only worsened in the freezing atmosphere. Death is biting at his heels when he's saved by a unexpected savior.
